Inspired by Suvashun by Simin Daneshvar, a post-World War II novel set in Shiraz. Within the novel, a “tree of revolution” is described, sustained only by the blood of those who die on the path to freedom.

Referring to the events of January 8, 2020, the downing of Flight PS752 by the IRGC, the work commemorates the 176 passengers who lost their lives. The faceless, female figure evokes the uprising that followed the death of Mahsa Amini in September 2022, and the subsequent deaths, injuries, and imprisonments linked to the Woman, Life, Freedom movement.
